Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield with Rev. Ken Mikulcik officiating.   Interment will follow in the St. Jerome Cemetery in Fancy Farm.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

She was a member of the St. Jerome Catholic Church, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Hobbs is survived by her daughter- Delores Toon of Fancy Farm, Ky; daughter- Jeanette Ferrell of Florida; daughter- Theresa Milner of Paducah, Ky; daughter- Rose Peek of LA., daughter- Gayla Hobbs of Paducah, Ky; son- Thomas Hobbs of Massachusetts; son- Fred Hobbs of Virginia; son- Joe Hobbs of Massachusetts; son- Richard Hobbs of Tennessee.   Nineteen grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

Robert Erwin Bourland, September 17, 1924 - April 24, 2005

Mr. Robert Erwin Bourland, age 80, of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 24, 2005 in McKinney.   He was born on September 17, 1924 in Chambersville, Texas to Ray E. and Emily I. (Chandler) Bourland.   He married Frances Littlejohn on October 26, 1996 in McKinney.   Mr. Bourland served in the U.S. Army.   He was a charter member and deacon of the Community Avenue Baptist Church.   He was very active in the Gideons.   He retired from TXU after 40 years of service.   He is survived by his wife, Frances Bourland of McKinney, Texas; sons, Don Bourland and wife, Carol also of McKinney and Bob Bourland and wife, Gloria of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter, Linda Merchant and husband, Doug of Henderson, Texas; brothers, Lyman Bourland of Irving, Texas and Glynn R. Bourland and wife, Peggy of McKinney; sister, Edna Higgenbotham of McKinney; step daughters, Linda James and Stacy Edwards both of McKinney; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 5 step grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Louise.   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 28, 2005 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Don Bourland and family officiating.   Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park.   Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.

Anita Rebecca Littrell Gray was born June 17, 1944 at Cottage Hill, TX, and passed away October 12, 2008 in Denison, TX.   She grew up in a loving family, living in the Chambersville area where she attended school through the eighth grade.

Her high school years were spent in McKinney High School where she graduated in 1962.   Anita was a member of The National Honor Society.   She married Jimmy Lynn Gray on January 10, 1963.   They resided in McKinney where she worked for Collins Radio and later the Department of Human Services.   Anita attended Grayson County College where she received an Associates Degree in Nursing.   After graduation, she worked at various medical facilities in the McKinney/Dallas area.

As a child and young adult, Anita was a member of Chambersville United Methodist Church where she was youth director in the late eighties.   She was also involved in teaching Sunday School classes and Vacation Bible School.   They later moved their membership to Wesley United Methodist Church in McKinney, TX, where Anita was involved in the tape ministry, delivering tapes of the Sunday sermon to shut-ins.

Anita was known by her family and friends as a loving person, a wonderful wife and devoted mother.   She suffered a long, extended illness that finally took her to be with the Lord.   Anita will be missed, but her example of unconditional love will always live in our hearts and memories.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy of Trenton, TX, a daughter, Tammy Bledsoe and her husband, Jamie of Trenton, a son, Trent of Trenton, and four grandchildren, Jennie and husband Danny Kiser, Ryan, Ross and Reece Bledsoe, and three great-grandchildren, three brothers, Royce Littrell of Cache, Ok., and his wife Suzie, Allen Littrell of Chambersville, TX, and his wife Doris, Gary Littrell of Chambersville TX, and his wife Ann, a sister-in-law, Charlsie Corrion of McKinney, and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brent Gray, her parents, George and Leta Mae Littrell, and a brother, Bobby Littrell.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Royce Littrell and Rev. Ed Latze officiating.   Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery in Chambersville, Texas.   The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening.

KERRVILLE - Gene A. Schafer, long-time resident of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2007, after a brief illness.

His parents were Bismarck Schafer and Genevieve Carter Schafer of Garden City, Texas.   He was born in Chicago, Ill., on Aug. 31, 1924, but considered himself a native of Garden City, having moved there at an early age.

He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock.   Gene’s careers spanned from ranching to international oil field engineering.   He lived in much of the Western United States, Iran, Greece, Italy, Singapore and Mexico.   Gene had a wide range of interests from geology, paleontology, geneology and Texas history.   His family always delighted in his quirky sense of humor.   He will be missed by his long-time companion, Edna Summers Mixon; his son, Phillip Brant Schafer, of Elgin, Texas; his daughter, Suanne Schafer, her spouse, Robert Bambic, and their son, Max Schafer Bambic, all of San Antonio, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, Marck and Dana Ruth Schafer and their children, Todd and Danetta of Garden City, Texas; and his sister, Joyce Schafer Fuller, and her children, Linda, Sabra and William of Big Spring, Texas.   A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the Rio Robles trailer park recreation hall.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028.
