In the name of God, Amen.   I George Marks ???? (Farmer) of the County of Nelson and State of Kentucky being in a very low state of health, but of sound mind and memory and knowing that it is once appointed by God for all men to die, do make this my last will and testament.   First I recommend my Soul to God, who gave it, my body to buried in decent Christian like manner, at the discretion of my executors, and a touching such worldly estate wherewith I have pleased God to bless me with in this life.   It is my will and desire that it shall be disposed of in the following manner.   I hereby appoint my dearly beloved wife Sarah my executrix and my and my best and trust friend Jesse Crume and Isaac Warrell Surveyor my executors.   I further appoint my trusty friends Ralph Crume, Bennet Lucas and McClellen Surveyor all of Breckenridge County to settle my business and to settle any part or all of the lands I claim in said county as they think proper and pay themselves for their trouble out of said lands and it is further my will and desire that the money deriving from the sale of said lands may be by my executors converted to the use of paying my just debts and render the overplus to my beloved wife Sarah and two our dutiful sons Davis and George, likewise my dutiful daughter Susannah.   It is further my will and desire that after my beloved wife hath received her third of my estate, that the remainder be equally divided between three children Susannah Davis and George.   It is further my will and desire that all the property I hold in Nelson County, after my debts are paid, remain in the Possession of my beloved wife Sarah (unless she sees proper to have it sold) untill my sons Davis and George of age to legally heir an estate.   It is further my will and desire that all the property heretofore given my daughter Susannah remain with her and be probably possessed by her and her husband.   But it is my will and desire that she shall receive no part of my lands, goods or behattels lying or being in the County of Nelson.   It is my further my will and desire that after my just debts are all paid, the residue of lands, goods and behattels, all dues, debts and demands to be equally divided between my beloved wife and sons and be it known that all former wills and devises are by this made void.   In testimony of which I have hereunto set my hand and affirmed my seal this 10th day of January 1808.
