Isaac Jr first married Arminta Green and they had three children:..Lola 1895, Letha 1897 (Gram Canter) and Elbert 1898.   It appears as though Arminta passed away shortly after Elbert’s birth and Isaac Jr re-married to Margaret Jane Estep and they had one child, Eliza.

This family stayed in Boone County until sometime after 191

In 1920 the family shows up in Kanawha County, Dunbar, W.Va;   minus Lola and Letha.   We know that Letha married at 17 to Lester Canter somewhere near Cabin Creek which is in Kanawha County and it is believed that Lola married Evermont Ferrell.   Eliza married an A. Garrett in Dunbar in Kanawha County.   We understand that Letha was very close to Eliza and eventually Eliza moved to Florida.   Elbert is shown in 1920 as married and a female, age Ora, is living with them as a daughter-in-law and she is only 15.   This must be one of the times that Elbert got into a fix.   He probably got this young girl pregnant.   I remember Gram saying that Elbert once asked her if he could come to stay with her for a while...as he had a few problems(she said NO).   It is said that Elbert ALWAYS had a few problems.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving: son, Melvin of Parkersburg; granddaughters, Jean Burchard of Moore, S.C., Evelyn Rozier of Lumberton, N.C., Diana Black of Milton.

Service will be 11 a.m. today at Cunningham Memorial Park Lower Mausoleum Chapel, St. Albans, with the Rev. C.T. Bullington officiating.  Burial will be in the memorial park.  Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, is in charge of arrangements.

•  (3)   JOHN BERRY PRICE was born in a log cabin on the farm of WILLIS MASON FREEDLE, his step-grandfather. He moved from Dade County, Missouri, to Texas in 1900 and then moved from Texas to southern California in May, 1907.   He was a charter member and the first elder and the first chairman of the official board of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Pentz and Pearson Roads, Paradise, California.   The church was organized on 13 April 1961 (incorporated 22 Jan 1969).   He was age 79 at the time of church organization and later was made an Elder Emeritus on 8 June 1969.   His U.S. Social Security Number was 553-07-0420.   He was baptized at the “Pico Heights Christian Church (Disciples of Christ),” 1330 Berendo Street, Los Angeles.   California, and his brother, Arthur, was also baptized at this church.   Two brothers married two sisters (John Berry Price married Nancy Alice Gipson and Arthur Bennett Price married Frances (Fannie) May Gipson).  Thus the children of the two families were double cousins.
