RHODES-QUICK WEDDING VOWS EXCHANGED JAN. 11 AT BELVIDER
Wedding vows were exchanged Jan. 11 at 11:00 am, at the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Belvidere by Miss Linda Rae Rhodes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Rhodes, 416 W. Seventh Street, Belvidere, and Larry Quick, 2113 South Fourth Street, Rockford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Quick of Abingdon.
Reading the double ring ceremony for the couple, following a prelude of organ music by Miss Jennie Arnold, was Rev. Blosser of Belvidere. Living Quick, brother of the groom, Abingdon, was best man and Kenneth Lassen of Belvidere, a college friend of the groom, was groomsman. Ushers were Alfred Hagge of Rockford and Rick Hull of Belvidere.
A bouquet of red happiness roses and white stephanotis was a color accent for her 3-piece sick and wool winter white worsted suit. Her headpiece was a white sequin and beaded pill box.
Mrs. Alfred Hagge, twin sister of the bride, Rockford, was the bride’s matron of honor and Miss Lois Mild of Belvidere served as bridesmaid. Their dresses were American beauty rose shantung sleeveless dresses with short length and gathers at the waist. They carried bouquets of elegant carnations in shades of pink.
She was given in marriage by her father.
Following the ceremony, a delicious luncheon was served by the ladies of the church in a room accented with white mums and pink carnations.
Mrs. Larry Quick, a graduate of Belvidere High School, is studying to be an operating technician at St. Anthony’s Hospital. The groom, a graduate of Abingdon High School and Bradley University, is employed as an industrial engineer for Sunstrand Tool and Machine in Belvidere.
After a short wedding trip the couple will reside at 2113 South Fourth Street in Rockford.
The rehearsal dinner was held Jan. 10 at the Casz Maci Supper with the groom’s parents as hosts.
