Thomas Henry Death, Funeral and Cemetery Documents

  1. 1917 Certificate for the St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery of Salem granting Thomas F. Henry of Peabody and the Roman Catholic Members of his family the right to bury in Lot No. 22, Oak Avenue. A Dec. 27th 1917 receipt showed he paid $95, probably $85 for the lot and $10 for care. Thomas Henry purchased this right at the untimely death of Michael Meaney of age about 36. Michael Meaney was married to Celia Sheridan sister to Thomas’ wife Rosanna. When he died, they had been married 11 years with 6 children. Thomas was trying to help the family. Michael was probably originally buried at the site and later moved.

  2. 27 May 1957 Invoice from the Archdiocese of Boston Cemetery Office for perpetual care of the cemetery lot, and the receipt for the payment of that invoice.
